One of my favorite short speeches

the famous announcer, ernie harwell, gave a speech about baseball years ago. it’s a little bit lengthy and worth a read. a great part of it is dated, but the message still remains the same: baseball is the greatest game there is. i’ve attached a shortened version that ESPN recently covered with him that has the dated portions removed. the speech is just as good if not better (in my opinion). click on the link below and i hope you enjoy it as much as i have the multiple times i’ve listened. his voice, his words, his message. baseball IS the greatest sport and ernie harwell is a great and courageous man.
