parts are going fast as is the money. i have budgeted out the rest of the season and should still finish decent as i increase my part levels. i still have two more testing sessions before the end of the season. i’d like to move up to Pro with a car level of 8 (between parts and character points). looking for a podium on this race though the front wing should go near the end of the race. also should land two sponsors after this next race.

not many choices here. have opted to let the car smoke the last two races in order to prevent going way deep in the hole with finances. have enough to retain, but will most likely lose my last sponsor and endanger current negotiations with this tactic, however, it’s too risky to relegate due to a start accident or random. i hate when you’re left with very little good options.

i need a podium. i really, really need a podium. big push from here to the end, but having to work within my part wear. my engine should finish close to 100% and usually it’s off slightly down (1%-2%). so i think it will make it or very close to the end of the race. i don’t like to go three stops as i don’t always trust my pit crew to be quick, but i also do not want to get stuck behind drivers. even on an easy-to-overtake course, at Pro or higher it’s possible.

i wasted my Q1 by keeping the tool on Singapore and then skipping a practice lap which would have clearly shown my setup was NOT right. ugh! my Q2 was solid and i won’t be at the back of the pack in spite of myself. probably a mid-20s position at the start. only running a 35 ct because my driver’s energy has been low ALL season except for race one and the last race (where i had used Spa). i’d love to get up to 15th or better this race. my car will be raceable through race 17, so the points i need may not come until the end of the season. i can hope.
