most car parts are near or at 100%. car will smoke early and i’m hoping against hope to finish the race and qualify for full dollars, though in reality, it probably won’t happen. in that instance, i hope my car finishes the race and i finish ahead of all of the other smokers. may or may not promote based on points. i’m in the “additional” category and it might bump me up. if i do, i’m ok with it and can extend my driver. if i don’t promote, i’m ok with that as it wasn’t really my plan to promote. should finish the season around $50m with the 5th place bonus.

NEW driver. only signed for four races. high concentration, but low talent. hoping for some dry races in the last three (this will be mostly – if not entirely – wet). i need 11 pts before season’s end to ensure first place. have already budgeted coming in 2nd in group, but after the run i’ve had of ten wins and twelve podiums over the last thirteen races, it would be nice to hold onto first place. we’ll see.

hoping for a quality race here. i’d like to finish near 20th, but i’m not sure. i’ll be pushing my CT up to 40 and my car is set up for this race pretty well. used sports psychology for my driver and am hoping others will choose this to be a smoking race. not expecting points, but i would like to beat my cup competitor for this race and advance to the next round. using a two stop strategy on a hard-to-overtake track is a bit of a risk. but it’s one less pit to be concerned about timing.

did a session of testing. mismanaged my tyres in the first stint and didn’t get in all my laps. finished with 92 of 100 laps.

not expecting much this race, but hopeful to get close to the top while it’s raining and then block cars behind me when the weather dries. i downgraded my parts to make it through this race. if i can finish in the low 20s, i’ll consider this a success.
