    first race of the new season. i need to keep my driver’s OA at 100 or below until after race 5 (for driver’s extension) and then it will be lights out the rest of the way as i try to snag points to retain and start growing the money. did testing with the rain so i could get long test stints. cost for testing was decent. should be able to test quite a bit this season (and need to).

    i need my driver’s OA to go down one more. i’m hoping a mediocre race will be enough. i’m planning on extending and then hopefully extending again. currently, i have this driver for only the first four races, but i’d like to add two full seasons on the contract. team tool was off and had to run 8 practice laps to get the suspension correct. :-/

    i need some decent finishes. driver’s motivation is completely gone. in debt enough to lose my TD after this race. trying desperately to retain. will take this race and the next just to get out of debt. will probably have to go into debt again to be able to finish the season and hopeful for retention. i’m not giving up yet.

    starting on dry tyres, no switch for weather, no boosts, 30 CT on dry. my driver is not very good in wet races. i’d like a finish in the top 15. we’ll see how my planning pays off. still contemplating going -$15m in debt after this race to kill motivation. will take two races to get positive again and then i can extend driver for another 17. if i do not do that, i will not be able to keep this driver into a promo season (i cannot promote this season). which means finding another driver and starting the training all over again.
