i do have a favorite track coming up, but i’m pretty close to mailing it in the rest of the season. money is too low to be able to be competitive next season unless something breaks big. this has been a frustrating season. my driver is low on stamina, but that does NOT account for how slow he’s been on the track. i’ve been pushing motivation, but poor results always mitigate whatever positive steps i take in training.

i’m growing very weary of trying to find a way to make this driver faster. he’s slow every single Q. the car is ramping up, his motivation is ramping up, his Con/Tal are both excellent, his Exp is going up. and yet in spite of all of that, he seems to get slower every race. hugely frustrated with him, but still trusting my plan to build him up this season and push for promotion next. but somewhere in this season i need to start making money and finishing well out of points is not the way to do that.

my car character points have been sliding rapidly. i have test points that will have matured after this race (all to power) and i did a session of testing before today’s race, too. i’m lowering my tyre costs for this season and hoping that means i can do a bit more testing, but race results will also dictate that. i’m pushing 50 CT as my Q times were incredibly disappointing. i know my car is middle of the pack, but my driver is good and i thought i’d do better in Qs that i did. we’ll see what happens during the race. my driver doesnn’t have any aggression, so i’ll be relying on skill to overtake the cars ahead of me. i’m HOPING many of them are on a two stop strategy. we’ll find out in a few hours.
