    had to buy a new engine and am trying this “match character pts to the track characteristics”. i didn’t buy the new engine until after my driver was satisfied with the setup, but my lap was only slower by .177s (net). i’m planning on pushing it to 60 CT and hoping to land enough pts to solidify retention. i have seen a trend with this driver all last season and so far in the three qualifying this season: cruddy Q1, stellar Q2. something for me to think about when i start looking for a new driver. my current one’s stats are good, so i’m not sure where else i could look to improve except maybe motivation.

    couldn’t decide what to do here and finally opted with a 3 stopper and very high CT risk. we’ll see if that pans. i’d like to get some points and fastest lap. no telling at this point if either are mine for the taking. could have to wait until later in the season (if the funds hold out).

    messed up my Q and strategy. GRRR! driver’s mistake on Q1 pushed me down on grid. then when setting up my Q2, i was thinking of going 70 CT and set it as such, but forgot to select my TYRE CT to 70. still had it at 0. so to make it work with the fuel, i have to lower my CT to 40 and still have two laps on wobblers. this is all after testing only to find that testing is HUGELY expensive this season. it used 18% of my engine. ugh. i foresee a struggle all season long.

    i’m needing a bit of luck to come my way. finances are getting precariously low for the remainder of the season and i’ll need an additional 3 points (minimum) to retain. relegation seems precariously set up for a free-fall back to AM if i’m not careful. i will not look for a new driver until the season reset (should relegation become a reality). until then i’ll fight for points until the very end of the season.

    i need money. running out fast. still too much of the season left. if i can sneak a race where i pick up a couple more points i can go into money saving mode. until then, i have to push sparingly while preparing for a finale.

    tool was precariously close on wings. trying to find a happy spot takes lots of laps because the happy range may be only 7 wide. *sigh* either way it has been found and my driver used 7% driver energy during his Qs.

    the last race was incredibly disappointing. i’m not sure what else i can do. motivation dropped through the floor and now i’m battling at keeping any after this race (if i have another disaster). went all in on parts and bought level 7s rather than downgrade to save money. if no success here, i’ll have to go into money-saving mode to make a final push at the end of the season (and risk angering my sponsors).

    team tool was off substantially on gear and i ended up using 8 test laps while never finding my true “happy spot” with gear. Qs used a total of 12% driver energy.

    that last race was disappointing. most went with a one-stop strategy and the two stoppers struggled. so this coming race i have do downgrade parts to get through the race (watching money) and opt for a one-stop with HIGH hopes that it will stay dry. if it does i might find myself with a good finish. if it doesn’t, it’ll be another poor race with lower funds – which will hurt worse. i’ve discovered that 3 pts will not be enough to retain. i’ll need at least 5 or 6, so i’ll need to assure funds near the end of the season to make a final push.

    team tool was off on wings and engine, but nothing severe. Qs took 6% of my driver energy.
