i downgraded the front wing to get it through this race. i’ll need to upgrade parts again after this race. i’m running very tight on tyres, but opted to have them wobble for a bit. i’m hoping the tyre tool is off slightly in my favor. i also made the long stint the middle where the temperature should be a bit lower. did some more testing and will probably skip a race after this and then go back to testing again. i did four testing stints in a row, then skipped a race before two more. i’ll probably skip the next race and then do two more before the season ends. all of my testing has been in top speed or hairpins. those parts are the most expensive and i don’t have to invest as much money into the others. that’s my theory.

did not test, but will before race 3. will probably test every odd race throughout the season. running the tyres to the rim again to avoid the additional pit. should be able to do that with only one or two laps with worn tyres. i’m thinking those 8 laps (two each stint) will still be faster than 17s in/out of the pits plus another 20-25s for the stop itself. i didn’t get fastest lap last race. would be nice to get it here. i could use the extra money.

new driver (and extended). i signed him for 10% lower than he asked, but gave substantial bonuses for Win/Podium/Pts. we’ll see how he does – and how much he wants those bonuses). not expecting much this race (or the next few). he has zero stamina, but i’m hoping to see that start shooting up quickly. i’ll be training and testing. testing seems inexpensive this season. i’m hoping to get points this year and not have to worry about retention late in the season. i’d also like to continue to increase my funds. i saved on my driver (over the past one), but increased my staff and facilities.
