trained the driver in technical and his moti only dropped 7. ugh. i needed more. as it was his motivation went UP in that race despite an 18th place finish (having started 3rd on grid). not enough to lower his OA. will need to keep working that to see if i can get it to drop for another extension. if not, at some point i’ll have to start pushing for points. its still very early in the season and i’m not worried or concerned.

did upgrades in staff and facilities to use up a bit of money so i’m not taxed so much (and things i would have done at the start of the season anyway). will have a very late pit INTENTIONALLY to make sure i don’t accidentally score points and promote. the plan is to retain two more seasons and then promote – and hopefully with a very chunky chunk of money. i will need to get my driver’s OA down at the start of next season to get the next extension. shouldn’t be difficult since the motivation is near its peak.

downgraded a couple of parts. last race (New Delhi) was the first race i intentionally came in much lower and sure enough – a complaint from one of my sponsors. i’ll likely lose them as i try to pull my driver’s OA down a bit. maybe i should drop it more harshly with either training or intentionally sabotaging one race. if i’m going to do that, i need to wait until later in the season. still too many races to just give up. will lower my CT to 0 for this race and stay on dry tyres throughout (including at the start).

would love to get the fastest lap (twice out of three races this season). not the fastest overall race setup, but will be happy with a finish in the top 15. still about making money. bought some parts and will need more before next race. i need to map out the next couple of testing stints to get the car characters boosted a bit. likely power and handling in that order.

downgraded a few parts to make it through this race. hoping for a fully dry race and running a one stopper with 30ct. would like to see a top 15 spot. will need to buy new parts before next race and we’ll see how i’m doing in the cup challenge for this level. the points and podium have surprised me this season. its possible that i’ll need to pull back on the CT a bit. my driver is still pretty low in group and i’m hoping for two more seasons before i push. still looking to pad the coffers while i’m training this driver.
