the season is winding to a close and i’m hoping to hang on to 5th place within my group. there’s a chance i could drop to 6th and NO chance to accidentally promote. so i’m pushing in spite of having downgraded my wings to level 4 in order to make it through this race. the idea is to build money and dropping $7-8m (for both wings) that cannot be earned back in this race wasn’t worth a new purchase. should start next season around $45m and have my driver back for another 16 races. should do very well next season and push money up to about $75-80m if i’m wise.

replaced a few parts and debated what to do with my engine. opted to push it up to a 6 knowing i can downgrade it to a five and even a four later this season if needed. while i have plenty for retention, i’d like to finish in 5th place this season for the monies. if my calculations are accurate, that would put me at the $50m mark at the end of the season (with all bonuses). then next season i hope to jump to $75-$80m.

for this race, i’m switching tyres 0/0 if the weather changes. too many curves and a long enough track that going around 1 time in either side of a change would be too long. the longer pit will still be faster than the added lap.

downgraded a few parts and they’ll STILL be close at the end of this race. tested also. team tool said hard would be the way to go. using longer stints than normal and planning on a short sprint at the end and boosting while many others are pitting. i know i’m falling quick on the grid, but hoping to make up with fewer pitstops.

this may be the only time i’m in 1st place. only two have qualified. everyone will be on extra soft tyres, so i’m anticipating a 13th place finish. i think my driver and car are good enough for points, but somehow they elude me. more car character points added for this race and more coming in two races. i’d like to keep testing, but i need to watch my funds as i’ve tested three of four races so far.
