one of my driver’s favorite tracks, so i’m hopeful for a very good result. i debated (and still am) on whether to start on wet tyres or not. i may wait right up until close of Qs before i decide for sure. if we get more than 5 or 6 laps of rain it won’t be worth it. time in and out of the pits is only 12s. so pit time + in/out = about 36-40s. will i lose that much time if i stayed on dry tyres? i can’t decide. maybe i’ll look back through previous races and see if there were any races with rain.

A-HA! in s65 we had a mixture of rain/dry. looks like it was about 9s (per lap) when dry tyres on wet track. if we end up with 4 laps or more in wet, then pitting makes it worth it. i’ll stay with wets to start for this race based on that info.
