money is tight. i’m still planned to finish in the positive and i need to continue to push my driver in testing and training. i’ll have one more testing session this season (next race), but seriously need to get some decent money and a couple of points. i fear the points may not come until the very end of the season. i much prefer getting retention out of the way early. trained the driver in Spa to get his energy back to 100%. i need some big races for points (i’ll need a couple to retain) and money. the last race was a bit of a letdown and unless i can get my driver’s motivation up, i may end up relegating. i’m continuing to push for driver endurance, but the rest of this season will most likely be in sports psychology for the motivation boosts.

did another round of testing (back to acceleration). handling points should increase after this race from the previous testing. i downgraded the wings, but will push them back up to level 6 after this race. trained in sports psychology to try and start working on boosting the driver’s motivation for a late season push for retention. i DID change from overtake where possible to force to the front. lets hope that won’t be a mistake from this far back. the idea is to push up two or three spots on that first lap rather than drop one or two (which has been the case).

engine may go at the end of the race. only using 30CT. at some point i’ll need to shift from Fitness Training to Spa so i can push the CT up to about 50 or 60 if i’m making a run for retention points. the push so far has been only fitness to get my driver’s stamina up. its climbing, but not where i need it for this level yet … only 114. did another testing in Cornering for the handling CCP. i probably need to wait another race or two and do an acceleration (hairpins). i have not had much fortune getting quality start spots, but have been doing pretty well climbing into the teens the last few races. i’m still only ranked 28th in group. i will HAVE to get points … multiple … to retain. so that’s the goal.

setup is 75% rain. will pit immediately when it rains and wait one lap if it’s going dry. did not train in spa, but thought about it. with lower CT (30 dry, 25 wet) i thought it safe to run on current driver energy. should be around 65 or so when the race starts. driver is not known for being good in the rain, but still hopeful for a top 22 spot – especially with the new CCP that really gave my car a BIG bump (11 point boost on power).

OA dropped to 135 and i gave an extension. also tested for the first time – all in cornering. trained in fitness since my driver’s is WAY too low for Pro. gotta get that moving in the right direction. running 40CT on this next race. i anticipate his OA will drop down to 135 in the next couple of races which will allow me get another extension beyond this 17. that’s the goal. hoping for a top 27 spot. a lot will depend on the four that missed the first race – whether they miss this one or not. started 31st in the first race and finished 29th. i think 27 is doable. it will help when the CCP come in after race 4.

most car parts are near or at 100%. car will smoke early and i’m hoping against hope to finish the race and qualify for full dollars, though in reality, it probably won’t happen. in that instance, i hope my car finishes the race and i finish ahead of all of the other smokers. may or may not promote based on points. i’m in the “additional” category and it might bump me up. if i do, i’m ok with it and can extend my driver. if i don’t promote, i’m ok with that as it wasn’t really my plan to promote. should finish the season around $50m with the 5th place bonus.
