downgraded quite a few parts. did not buy any new. purposely trying to save a bit of money, but running a 60 CT on this next race with the hope of staying in a decent finish position. my car and driver are decent within group. not sure if the poor races have been due to strategy or something within the driver’s attributes. goal is to finish (on average) 8 positions higher than last season in order to pay for the tyres. obviously, i’d like MORE than that, but will take what i can to stay alive financially while training this driver. speaking of that, i trained in fitness again because his stamina is still quite low (105), but i really need to get his motivation up. *sigh* so much work to do.

tested a short 5 laps. still trying that. also got my first FULL testing point ccp added. gave my car a nice little boost (+3, +5, +2 to existing CCP). driver continues to slide in motivation. will most likely train in sports psychology a couple of races, but still trying to get some increased stamina first. currently up to 103 – and that’s not NEAR enough for this level. driver messed up his Q1 and was slower than his practice lap. :-/ i hope that doesn’t mean a bad race is ahead of me. car WILL last full race with a few parts needing replacement before the next race.

engine could go near the end of the race, but hoping experience of both driver and TD will extend it slightly or enough to make it through a huge chunk of this race and get decent money. was very impressed with the last race. motivation went up 27 and i trained in sports psychology and got another boost of 50. so trying to capitalize on the +77 motivation bump from last race and finish a bit higher on the grid that i might have otherwise. running as fast as i can on extra softs with 40 CT. i don’t anticipate getting fastest lap again, but i also didn’t expect to get it the first time out either.

starting on wet tyres and planning for a long first stint before the rain stops. if it’s a messy race, i’ll opt to stay on dry the rest of the way. going with a dry setup. hoping for a good result – or at least not lose any motivation in the process. parts will last. will need to train in spa next time as my energy is nearly depleted, but need to push until this driver is gone. good finishes mean good money and i need to pad the account as much as possible between here and the end of the season. that’ll be difficult while trying to keep my sponsors (two are not happy).
