i need money. running out fast. still too much of the season left. if i can sneak a race where i pick up a couple more points i can go into money saving mode. until then, i have to push sparingly while preparing for a finale.

the last race was incredibly disappointing. i’m not sure what else i can do. motivation dropped through the floor and now i’m battling at keeping any after this race (if i have another disaster). went all in on parts and bought level 7s rather than downgrade to save money. if no success here, i’ll have to go into money-saving mode to make a final push at the end of the season (and risk angering my sponsors).

team tool was off substantially on gear and i ended up using 8 test laps while never finding my true “happy spot” with gear. Qs used a total of 12% driver energy.

that last race was disappointing. most went with a one-stop strategy and the two stoppers struggled. so this coming race i have do downgrade parts to get through the race (watching money) and opt for a one-stop with HIGH hopes that it will stay dry. if it does i might find myself with a good finish. if it doesn’t, it’ll be another poor race with lower funds – which will hurt worse. i’ve discovered that 3 pts will not be enough to retain. i’ll need at least 5 or 6, so i’ll need to assure funds near the end of the season to make a final push.

earned my first points at this level in the previous race. i’d like to get some more points as i don’t think 3 will be enough for retention this season. i’m feeling pretty good though and discovered that i’m currently ranked 1st for United States managers and 90th in GPRO overall. my driver and car are both in the top 6. there are also 5 drivers (and not mine) that have this course as their favorite. i might not get points, but i should finish in the top 15 for good money.

just dropped some cash to get new parts and some upgrades. still needing a HUGE boost in motivation, but it’s not happening. did some testing and hope to replenish some character points that are dropping by 2. am hopeful for a messy race in the last third. pitting immediately and hoping for a quick turn.

i still keep hopeful for points, but in Q’s i can tell i’m drastically over my head still. randoms for others has become my strategy. if only i had control over that. a 4th rated car, a 6th rated driver, fastest tyres possible and i’m still going to be at least 17th on grid to start the race. i’m at a loss as to the ‘how’. driver motivation is coming up slowly, but obviously not fast enough and that is keeping me slow enough to prevent success. :-/

i’m really pushing hard here with 80 CT. long race and hoping there will be a few that let their car smoke this race. would love to sneak some points. car and driver say i have enough (based on placement within the group), however my times continually make me think there is something much deeper that i’m still missing. let’s see what happens in this race and i’ll have a good idea of what the rest of the season will look like.

new test points came in – 2pts for each. not sure i’ll be able to test enough to stave off the degradation. finances will be more difficult unless i start having some decent finishes. last race was a huge disappointment as my driver did very poorly considering his place and car place within group. same strategy as most, but a horrid 26th place finish. i’d like to have a much better race this time around, but we’ll have to wait and see. going with a wet setup, but may change that prior to Qs closing. needing to lower my CT to 40 due to lack of driver energy.

team tool was spot on. Qs used about 8% (didn’t pay close enough attention to what it was prior to start of practice/qualify).

last race was rather disappointing and the early Q results here are even more disconcerting. very low overall. maybe the remainder are going with softer tyres, but it doesn’t make sense with the tool. going with the “fastest race setup” which only has two pits. we’ll see what happens. drop in driver’s motivation did not help matters.

first race in masters was an ‘ok’ experience. finished 15th. i’m not sure how much better i can do without upgrades to the car. improved stamina will help. used 60CT on the last race and driver’s energy dropped to 9%. so now i’m pulling back to 40CT and seeing what that will do. it’s a rain race and my driver is supposed to be good in the rain. but i’ve never had a rain race at Masters. lots of firsts.

Team tool needed tweaking. -7 on brakes and +30 on suspension. gearbox will be at 0 for the race. Driver Energy used was 3% for Q1 and Q2 for a total of 6%.

downgraded engine and bought new sidepods. car will most likely smoke, but not until near the very end. using 25 CT which will be about all my driver can do by race time. if i think he can do a bit more (if his energy goes up more than anticipated), i’ll bump it to 30 or 35 just before Qualifying closes. goal is to be in points this race. car will definitely smoke out next race, but hopeful for a full race and get full money next race. it would be a pleasant surprise.
