surprisingly finished in 7th last race with fastest lap. not counting on that all the time, but was nice for the little boost of money and to get some early points. not sure yet if i’ll start on wet tyres or dry. currently leaning towards dry tyres. hoping for a top 15 finish.

i hate messy races only because my driver is completely inept on the track. hoping for a top 15 spot, but it will mainly depend on how much rain and how often we stop.

its been a few races since my vacation and still trying to get back into the groove of things. busy schedule, behind in schedule, but still making races. continuing to train in fitness to get the driver’s stamina up. hoping for a finish in the top 15. will be a bit disappointed if that doesn’t happen even though my car isn’t designed for this type of race. this one is an engine buster. we’ll see how many run with Technicals on this one. i shouldn’t be as all my parts should last the race, but sometimes randoms happen.

bought a lot of new parts. this is a high wear track and i’ve not been very conservative in money. i’m still training up my driver and should really do some more testing. i will have some added CCP after two more races (handling). i need to feed the coffers.

downgraded some parts so i could wait until NEXT race to buy anything. still hopeful for a late teens/early 20s finish. running very high defend risk (60 defend) and seeing how my driver handles that. will get new parts next race along with some new CCP.

trained in Yoga. will switch over to stamina (fitness) starting with the next race. will be getting additional CCP after this race and next. not much since i’m back in AM and don’t have a Technical Director. will be running with 30ct and hoping for a top 12 finish. perfect goal would be for my driver to finish 7th-10th all season long for max money. not planning on it, but would be nice.

downgraded the engine after another testing stint (handling, this time). should be very close to making it through this race without a Technical (Gear should finish around 99%). we’ll see if the driver can milk the whole race clean. two full races without a driver mistake. will keep at 30ct for this race with a one-stopper. with the downgrade in engine, i don’t anticipate a finish as high as 20th. we’ll see. three full boosts since i’ll have to replace the engine anyway after this race is concluded.

did a round of testing. total cost to test was $55.100 per lap. all in top speed. trained in yoga again to get the concentration up. hoping a 1-stopper will be the right strategy. motivation is still at 250. finished 10th in the first race to my great surprise.

been a long time since i had a driver this low in OA. must have made a cruicial mistake in Q2 since that time was 4.4s slower than Q1. i’ll need to lower that risk some until he’s better. not expecting much this race. low 20s would be good.

its all or nothing in this race. i’ve finished 9th in the last two races. to get to 25th place (and assuming no one else scores, i need 3 pts just to tie with 25th. that means a 6th place finish or better to even have a chance. i’ll be running 55 CT on dry and 40 CT if it rains. only doing my setups at 10% rain, though i may change them to 0% rain setups. i always preach to others about make a plan and stick to it. i have, but will it pay off? we’ll find out on friday.

i had retention locked up in the last race. i was in 6th place (3pts) going into lap 46. no more pits, just a race to the finish. then my driver had a mistake and i dropped to 11th. i worked back to 9th, but spent the last three laps with failed overtakes. that could be my season right there. BUT i have a plan and i’m not going to change. this race will be a 30CT (VERY low driver energy). i opted to boost driver motivation this race and am leaning heavily on the final race to get the points i need (i’ll need at least two to retain). it would be great if we had well over half the field with Technicals this race and i somehow get the retention points, but i’m not counting on it. there is a likelihood i’ll be back to 0% on energy after this race. i’m hoping to have about 60% at the start and should use about 50% over the course of the race. everything hinges on these last two races.

this track suits my driver/car very well. goal is to make it past the first lap (no start accidents). the rain won’t help, but fortunately is supposed to be gone in the first 30 minutes (about 17 laps – max). counting on a mostly dry track. wet 30CT, dry 50CT. using three boosts and a 20% rain setup. if i don’t do well this race, i’ll use next race to boost driver’s motivation (Sports Psychologist) and then Spa for the final race as a last gasp at retention. i’ve been working this plan all season and hopeful to have it pay off here. all parts should last this race unless a random bites me.

i wasted my Q1 by keeping the tool on Singapore and then skipping a practice lap which would have clearly shown my setup was NOT right. ugh! my Q2 was solid and i won’t be at the back of the pack in spite of myself. probably a mid-20s position at the start. only running a 35 ct because my driver’s energy has been low ALL season except for race one and the last race (where i had used Spa). i’d love to get up to 15th or better this race. my car will be raceable through race 17, so the points i need may not come until the end of the season. i can hope.
