car will break and break early. random in the last race stopped me from having a much better finish (not points, but better money). put me in a spot where i really can’t afford to do much if anything this race. currently in 10th, but likely dropping out of bonus money. not worth spending just to stay in 10th with an $800k bonus. doesn’t cover the parts needed. will just ride it out and hope for the best next season. also my CCP are dropping like a rock. i really need to do some testing next season if it’s more reasonable.

i’d like to finish at least 12th if not in points. i need money. i’ll be watching everything from here to the end of the season. i can’t retain my driver unless i go far enough into the negative and that’s just not condusive to staying in Pro, so i’m also on the look for a new driver. better to find one before the season ends than the madhouse at the opening of the season. let’s see if this three stop strategy is really the best. the tool says it is by about 12s. that’s a lot to give away.

had to downgrade my wings to make it through this race. money is tight and i’m hanging on to parts where i can. i really need to do another testing, but i really can’t afford to — i’ll have to run some estimated numbers on parts to see what i can do. i have enough points for retention with another surprise podium. now it’s time to manage my finances. i’ll need a new driver soon. this one has gone as far as he can with me. i have him under contract through race 4 of season 98. i might wait all the way until the end so i can sneak some early season points in the first four races of 98.

car is set up for this race (high Handling). i’ve been disappointed this season so far. my driver isn’t great in the rain, so i can only hope that my car being perfect for this race will give me some help towards points. yes, i’m still counting on them. this may be a long season and i’m already tight on finances. i’ll know by half way through if this is going to be a relegations season or fight for retention.

starting on wets and hoping for about 1/3 of the race being in the rain. using a 30% rain setup and 50ct/30ct (dry/wet). trained my driver in sports psychologist in order to boost motivation.

did a bout of testing. very expensive (about $69k per lap). did all TOP SPEED in preparation for race 4. won’t be able to test that much with money so tight. i’ll need quality finishes throughout the first half of this season if i’m going to retain. i’d like to get some points early.
